Nebraska Rural Health Association Video: Nemaha County Hospital - Age-Friendly Care

2025 Nebraska Rural Health Association Video

The Nebraska Rural Health Association has released a video highlighting age-friendly care at Nemaha County Hospital, which has been recognized as an Age-Friendly Health Systems site since 2020.

Nemaha County Hospital is located in Auburn, a rural area where the population is aging faster than in urban centers. In the video, staff explain how they focus on the Age-Friendly Health Systems 4Ms Framework—What Matters, Medication, Mentation and Mobility—and offer practical examples.

Staff also explain what they love about rural health. The hospital is strengthening its commitment to thoughtful, close-to-home care while setting an example for rural healthcare providers nationwide.

The video was supported by the Nebraska Rural Health Association in partnership with the Nebraska Hospital Association, through the National Rural Age-Friendly Initiative of the National Rural Health Association.
