NHCGNE Academic Leadership Conference
This program focuses on developing leaders in gerontological nursing and health care to advance the quality of health available to older adults. The theme of this year’s Leadership Conference is “Making an Impact.” Accordingly, the program is concerned with career development, profiting from feedback, learning when to lead and when to follow, exercising power and influence, serving on boards, developing others and institutional mentoring structures, and seizing the opportunities made available by the Affordable Care Act and the demand of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for values-based purchasing. There will be several opportunities to customize learning throughout the conference.
