IHI Certification: New Certified Professional in Age-Friendly Health Care Credential

IHI Certified Professional in Age Friendly Health Care

The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) has launched a certification, "Certified Professional in Age-Friendly Health Care" (CPAFH). IHI is offering the next instance of their two-day interactive review course on May 14-15 to help prepare for the certification.

The CPAFH credential recognizes individuals advancing care aligned with the Age-Friendly Health Systems 4Ms Framework: What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility. CPAFH sets a global standard for professionals committed to safe, equitable, and age-friendly care for older adults.

To help prepare, IHI is offering a two-day interactive course led by experienced faculty experts in age-friendly practices. Speakers will review key concepts, offer practice questions and test-taking strategies, and include opportunities to ask questions in real time.

The CPAFH certification exam is open to professionals in any health care setting who incorporate age-friendly care as a core component of their current or future professional responsibilities including physicians, nurses, and pharmacists; social workers; case managers and care coordinators; physical, occupational, and speech therapists; rehabilitation professionals; and health system leaders.
