Paper: Gerontological Nursing - Growth, Adaptation and Change After John A. Hartford Foundation Investments
Geriatric Nursing has published a paper, “Gerontological Nursing: Growth, Adaptation and Change After John A. Hartford Foundation Investments.”
The John A. Hartford Foundation (JAHF) funded gerontological nursing initiatives for more than two decades, and the paper describes five key nursing initiatives between 1996-2015 designed to prepare a cadre of faculty, clinicians and researchers in geriatrics/gerontology.
The paper discusses “the impact, adaptation, and change in gerontological nursing resulting from over $86 million in [JAHF] funding,” and talks about current and future work including the JAHF-funded Age-Friendly Health Systems initiative.
