Social Prescribing USA has released the Social Prescribing Learning Hub, a multimedia site offering practical resources for providers interested in learning about and implementing social prescribing.
Social prescribing is a model of care delivery that enables health professionals to formally prescribe non-clinical community activities—including the arts, movement, nature, and volunteering—to improve patient health, and at minimal cost to the patient. It is designed to address social determinants of health, including social connection.
The Learning Hub features short, self-paced videos paired with one-page resources on topics ranging from the basics of social prescribing to choosing a model for your practice and navigating the insurance landscape.
