INQUIRY Journal Seminar Recording: Age-Friendly Health Systems Seminar Recording & Call for Papers
INQUIRY: The Journal of Health Care Organization, Provision, and Financing held a seminar July 24 on Age-Friendly Health Systems that included an upcoming call for papers.
During the seminar, speakers talked about the Age-Friendly Health Systems (AFHS) movement, one of the largest efforts to improve care delivery for older adults, with thousands of health care systems recognized as “Age-Friendly.”
They also discussed significant questions that remain, including how best to implement evidence-based practices and the effect of Age-Friendly transformation on the outcomes of older adults, and talked about INQUIRY journal's Special Collection request for papers. The collection of 10-20 papers will focus on issues of implementation and intervention effectiveness of AFHS redesign efforts, furthering the field. The deadline is October 31.
Webinar presenters included:
- Dr Robert E. Burke MD, MS, Associate Professor of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania and Department of Veterans Affairs
- Leslie Pelton MPA, Vice President, Institute for Healthcare Improvement
