The American Society on Aging's (ASA) Generations journal has published an article, "Doing Business: A Pathway to Coordination," focusing on partnerships between aging and disability community-based organizations (CBOs) and the healthcare system.

USAging is the home of the Aging and Disability Business Institute (Business Institute), which since 2016 has been helping to build and strengthen these partnerships as alternate streams of revenue. The article, authored by USAging's Sandy Markwood and the Business Institute's Marisa Scala-Foley, focuses on a range of issues around coordination and integration challenges for the Aging Network, such as decreased funding of Area Agencies on Aging through the Older Americans Act, growth in healthcare contracting, the need for federal investment in technology and the policy foundation for new contracting opportunities and discusses what lies ahead.
