Report: America's Health Rankings 2019 Senior Report

AHR Senior Report

The United Health Foundation has released "America’s Health Rankings 2019 Senior Report," created in partnership with the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association (GAPNA).

For nearly three decades, this annual report has analyzed a comprehensive set of behaviors, public and health policies, community and environmental conditions, and clinical care data. The report is built on the World Health Organization’s definition of health: “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”

Thirty-four core measures of health are used to create the senior health state rankings; supplemental measures, such as risk of social isolation, are also available on the website to highlight current and emerging issues affecting older adults. State summaries are included, as well as cross state comparisons, and key findings.
