Grant Summary

In 2007, the Foundation awarded grants for three new Centers of Excellence in Geriatric Medicine and Training (including the Center of Excellence at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and renewed five existing centers to continue their efforts toincrease the number of physician facultydedicated to geriatrics. Funding is used variously for direct salary support, pilot research, tuition or training expenses, or hiring research support personnel. At least130 advanced fellows and junior facultymembers will be supported through these grants for careers in aging research and teaching geriatric medicine.
