Creating Careers in Geriatric Advanced Practice Nursing
Grant Summary
The John A. Hartford Foundation awarded a grant to the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) to promote recruitment and career development for nurses seeking to become advanced practice geriatric nurses.The AACN will distribute and administer grants to schools of nursing with advanced practice geriatric nurse training programs, who will then distribute flexible scholarship funding plus mentoring and leadership opportunities. Some 100 scholarship awardees will have received support by the end of the four years.Grant Details
