Eldercare Workforce Alliance Renewal

Grant Summary

This renewal grant supports the Eldercare Workforce Alliance’s continued education and advocacy work to implement the recommendations of the 2008 Institute of Medicine report, Retooling the Healthcare Workforce for an Aging America. The Eldercare Workforce Alliance (EWA) comprises 29 organizations—representing consumers, professionals, paraprofessionals, and the healthcare industry—that are concerned with the workforce needed to deliver quality care for older adults. Over the last three years, EWA has established a solid track record using a variety of advocacy techniques to insert geriatric care workforce issues into ongoing regulatory and possible future legislative policy making.
