Enhancing Geriatric Nursing Education at Baccalaureate and Advanced Practice Levels
Grant Summary
The John A. Hartford Foundation awarded a grant to the American Association of Colleges of Nursing to support curricular expansion and innovation in geriatric content at approximately 10 advanced practice nursing education programs and 20 baccalaureate programs. As a result, future nurses will be better prepared to serve older adults and will create practice improvements in their care.The American Association of Colleges of Nursing will invite applications for the curriculum development awards from the nation's baccalaureate and master's nursing programs, and will provide assistance to strengthen the awardees" programs and spread information throughout the field.Grant Details
