Health Affairs Journal: Thematic Issues on Aging & Health

Grant Summary

This grant continues the Foundation's efforts to inform policy makers about aging and health topics. Foundation funding will support the development of three thematic issues, which are: a special collection of papers from researchers at RAND and Stanford University on health care of older adults, an issue on the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003, and a special issue on the future of nursing. Traditional bound versions will augment online publication of papers. The Hartford Foundation has supported three thematic issues over the last 10 years. These issues focused on the future of Medicare, medications, and the health care workforce. In these projects, the Foundation was joined by other funders such as the Robert Wood Johnson, California Healthcare and Kellogg Foundations.
