ADBI Webinar: Health Disparities - Asking the Right Questions to Spark System Change in a COVID-19 World

Adbi Health Disparities

The Aging and Disability Business Institute (ADBI) is holding a webinar on November 18, "Health Disparities: Asking the Right Questions to Spark System Change in a COVID-19 World."

During the webinar, Ronald S. Taylor, President and CEO of the Detroit Area Agency on Aging, will join Dr. Herbert C. Smitherman, Jr., of the Detroit Medical Center and Wayne State University School of Medicine to share key findings from research gathered over 20 years from the Detroit study, "Dying Before Their Time." What began as a search to uncover the reasons for premature deaths among people of color is now a catalyst to engage community-wide efforts to reduce health disparities and to address the socioeconomic determinants of health as well.

The webinar will give professionals in the aging network, human services and the research industry a better understanding of their role in community public health, especially in a COVID-19 world, and will discuss how they can help address health disparities in communities of all sizes.
