Article on Expanding Medicare to Include Oral Health Services
A meeting commentary on expanding oral healthcare for older adults has been published in The Journal of the American Dental Association.
The Santa Fe Group Salon Expanding Oral Healthcare for America’s Seniors was held in September 2016, and was supported by The John A. Hartford Foundation. The article that resulted from the conference identified four major factors driving the move to expand access to oral health care for seniors at the moment:
- Need
- Growth of social capital
- Moral imperative
- Improved health and economic savings
