Data Brief: Advancing Partnerships - Contracting Between Community-Based Organizations and Health Care Entities
The Scripps Gerontology Center, in partnership with the Aging and Disability Business Institute (Business Institute), has released a data brief, "Advancing Partnerships: Contracting Between Community-Based Organizations and Health Care Entities."
The brief, described here, summarizes findings from the 2021 CBO-Health Care Contracting Survey, conducted by The Scripps Gerontology Center on behalf of the Business Institute. The survey measured the extent to which aging and disability community-based organizations (CBOs) are contracting with health care entities—individually and as part of a network—and aimed to better understand the partnerships, services, target populations, payment models, opportunities and challenges related to these contracts.
Data from the survey has helped develop targeted and relevant resources for CBOs, policy makers and healthcare professionals. This brief summarizes the findings, highlighting trends on health care partners, services delivered, payment structures, contracting challenges and partnership experiences. The report also tracks trends in how the contracting landscape has changed since 2017.
