Generations Special Issue: The Field Guide to Managed Care: A Primer

ASA_Generations2

The American Society on Aging has released a primer covering all aspects of managed care.

The 14 articles and case studies form the first of an annual edition of the Generations Field Guide. The papers talk about a way forward for healthcare delivery systems and providers to build business partnerships to offer integrated, or managed, care, and they give advice around collaboration, experimentation, and persistence for community-based providers who are seeking to move toward fully integrated care. The primer's three sections are:

  • The world of quality care: history, landscape, outlook
  • Next steps & challenges: identifying and building competencies for high-value partnerships
  • Managed care models in action
