Gerontological Nursing Research Summer Scholars Seminar
This week-long seminar is a co-sponsored event between the Hartford Centers of Geriatric Nursing Excellence at the University of Iowa (UI) and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). The goal is to assist in the development and/or refinement of a focused and innovative gerontological nursing research grant proposal or resubmission. This includes faculty who want to develop grant writing skills to enhance the probability of external funding. Summer Scholars will receive focused, intensive mentoring by internationally recognized gerontological researchers. The workshop will be held at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, AR from June 23-24, 2014. Deadline to apply is April 11.

WHEN: June 23-27, 2014
WHERE: The workshop will be held at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, AR.
FEE: There will be no charge for the workshop. Participants are responsible for their travel, hotel, and evening meals. Course materials, breakfast and lunch (Mon-Fri) will be provided.
HOUSING/TRAVEL: Costs for housing and travel will be the responsibility of the participant. A block of rooms will be reserved for the participants. All rooms will have internet service. Additional information regarding housing will be provided after submission of applications. The Bill and Hillary Clinton/ Little Rock National Airport is closest to UAMS.
COMPUTERS: Scholars will need a laptop for evening work.
