“As a result of my involvement, I have a strong network of colleagues in Gerontological nursing across the country and value my connections with senior leaders at the John A. Hartford Foundation and the BAGNC program. I am so thankful for this amazing experience and look forward to remaining fully active and supporting the new Chair and Chair-Elect in their role. As we transition to the Gerontological Society of America, new and exciting opportunities are on the horizon.” - Dr. Adriana Perez, founding BAGNC Alumni Chair
“Serving in this capacity has heightened my awareness of the activities occurring within our Alumni Group and BAGNC program. I encourage everyone to consider serving as the Recorder as it is a very exciting leadership role that is critical to the continued growth & development of our BAGNC Alumni group.” - Dr. Carol Rodgers, founding BAGNC Alumni group Recorder and Chair of Communications subcommittee
The BAGNC Alumni group is crucial to the continuing commitment of the John A. Hartford Foundation to quality care for the aging population. Rachel Watman, JAHF program officer, writes, “[JAHF] is enormously grateful to our alumni; we believe that the collective strength of an interdisciplinary-based alumni effort can serve as a powerful catalyst to make real improvement in the health of older Americans. This said, the BAGNC Alumni group has ─ and will continue to be ─ a leader in this forthcoming initiative.” The officers of the BAGNC Alumni group are thus the linchpin for continuing the tremendous work done to date by all BAGNC and other JAHF alumni.
