Hartford Grantee Dr. Adriana Perez on NBC Nightly News
Figuring out what the Affordable Care Act means for individuals and their families can be intimidating, to say the least. With other volunteers from the Hispanic and Black Nurse Association of Arizona, Arizona State University geriatric nursing faculty member and Claire M. Fagin Fellow Dr.Adriana Perez was recently featured on NBC Nightly News for educating the public about health care. They have visited small businesses in their region and are talking with owners, employees, and customers to counsel them on what the different options mean, and the importance of signing up. These nurses are increasingly taking on leadership roles to promote wellness in their community.
