Hospital at Home Users Group Webinar: Hospital at Home Nursing - A View From the Field
The Hospital at Home Users Group, in partnership with the American Academy of Home Care Medicine (AAHCM), is holding a webinar on December 10 titled, "Hospital at Home Nursing: A View From the Field."
The webinar is for hospital and system leaders interested in learning about the opportunities and challenges associated with providing acute care in the home. This webinar recognizes that nurses are central to the operational and clinical success of many Hospital at Home (HaH) programs and will explore nursing’s multifaceted role in the acute care-at-home environment.
Mandy McGowan, RN, Director of Home Care Services at UW Health, will moderate a discussion with HaH nurses, Jenna Blind, DNP, RN, CPHQ, NEA-BC, from NYU Langone Health, Karin Falkenberg, DNP, RN, from Mass General Brigham Healthcare at Home, and Vance Purcell, MBA, BSN, RN, RHN, from Kaiser Permanente.
Participants will learn about the challenges of recruiting qualified nurses, the importance of nurse staffing ratios, falls assessments, nursing’s role in ambulatory versus traditional waiver-based HaH models of care and more.
