JGEM Editorial: Managing Older Adults with Presumed COVID-19 in the Emergency Department - A Rational Approach to Rationing
The Journal of Geriatric Emergency Medicine (JGEM) has published an editorial article, "Managing Older Adults with Presumed COVID-19 in the Emergency Department: A Rational Approach to Rationing."
The invited editorial is in the context of the American Geriatrics Society's (AGS) position paper on age-related considerations in resource allocation during the COVID-19 era. In the editorial, Tony Rosen, MD, MPH, et al describe their current experience in the emergency department and they reflect on how the concepts of the AGS position paper could be implemented in the emergency department.
The editorial is being published concurrently in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society.
