NAM Scholars in Diagnostic Excellence in Partnership with CMSS: 2025 Call for Applications
The 2025 call for applications is open for the National Academy of Medicine (NAM) Scholars in Diagnostic Excellence in partnership with the Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS).
Funded by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, this one-year, part-time remote program opportunity is for ten mid-career professionals from a variety of disciplines and professions that propels them in becoming national leaders in the field of diagnostic excellence.
Beginning in late June, scholars engage in various leadership development activities including:
- Monthly educational sessions with distinguished experts and cohort learning activities to enhance the scholars’ knowledge and skills in diagnostic quality, safety, and equity;
- Professional networking opportunities through the NAM and CMSS; and
- Mentorship from national leaders who can provide professional guidance and subject matter/technical expertise for the scholars’ work.
Each scholar receives a $35,000 grant and an additional $5,000 domestic travel funds for program-related activities.
With additional support from JAHF, an 11th scholar with a focus on advancing diagnostic excellence for older adults may be selected.
Applications are open until 3pm ET on March 3. NAM is holding a series of applicant information sessions:
- Thursday, January 16 at 11:00am EST
- Friday, January 31 at 1:00pm EST
- Wednesday, February 12 at 3:00pm EST
- Tuesday, February 25 at 3:00pm EST
