HHS Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion Launches Healthy Aging Website
The Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has launched a new section about Healthy Aging on their website as one of their four National Health Initiatives.
With the addition of a Healthy Aging section as a comprehensive ODPHP National Health Initiative, meaningful efforts involving Trust for America's Health (TFAH) and the Association for State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) will have a permanent home on ODPHP's Health.gov.
The site will be regularly updated with helpful resources about aging. A section of the site, for instance, contains on-demand sessions of the 2021 Healthy Aging Symposium. This was a free virtual conference organized by ODPHP and TFAH that focused national attention on the health and well-being of older adults.
