Public Health Center of Excellence Webinar: Public Health and Faith
The Public Health Center of Excellence (PHCOE) is holding part 3 of a webinar series on "Public Health and Faith" on October 12.
"Public Health and Faith" will be the third and final installment in this three-part series. Faith-based organizations (FBOs) have always been very active in health promotion and disease prevention. Many of them provide dementia awareness and education programs and resources, and support for community members with dementia, their families, and caregivers. The goal of the series is to explore the ways in which public health can partner with faith institutions in their dementia caregiving efforts, and highlight the work FBOs do to support people living with dementia, their families and caregivers.
This session will showcase the leading work of the Jewish Family Service of St. Paul, Minnesota, the Arkansas Department of Health, and the Respite for All Foundation of Alabama. The webinar will feature more ways in which public health can partner with faith institutions in their dementia caregiving efforts, and highlight the work faith-based organizations (FBOs) do to support people living with dementia, their families and caregivers.
