Video Interview Series: “HCCI Conversations with….”

The Home Centered Care Institute (HCCI) has launched a new video interview series called, "HCCI Conversations with...."

In the first episode, viewers hear from Dr. Thomas Cornwell, Executive Chairman of HCCI, Senior Medical Director of Village Medical at Home (part of VillageMD), and founder of Northwestern Medicine HomeCare Physicians. Dr. Cornwell discusses the key role that home-based primary care is playing during the COVID-19 pandemic in taking care of homebound patients, many of whom are the most vulnerable to the virus, both in the home and virtually through telemedicine.

In the second episode, viewers hear from Dr. Maurizio Cereda, co-director of the Surgical ICU and Associate Professor at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Cereda talks about the recent NEJM Catalyst Innovations in Care Delivery article he co-authored that shared lessons learned by his Italian colleagues in managing the significant outbreak of COVID-19 in that country. He also shares his personal reflections on hearing how the pandemic was affecting his homeland while he and his colleagues were preparing for it in the U.S.
