Providence Age-Friendly Health System Symposium
Providence is hosting a virtual event on April 29, "Age-Friendly Health System Symposium." The event is designed to engage and educate caregivers and colleagues on Providence’s journey to becoming an Age-Friendly Health System.
Providence is one of five pioneering health systems to participate in the creation of the Age-Friendly Health Systems movement, which is based on the 4Ms framework: What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility. In 2019, Providence’s Clinical Council added an essential 5th M for Malnutrition, another common issue for older adults.
During this 3-hour symposium, pioneering partners Don Berwick, MD, and JAHF Senior Program Officer Amy Berman, RN, LHD, FAAN, will join Providence leaders to discuss the impacts of COVID-19 on older adults, Providence’s commitment to leading as an Age-Friendly Health System, and how to can leverage the “5Ms” framework to guide the way forward.
