Advancing Aging and Health Policy Understanding Renewal 2012

Grant Summary

The nonpartisan National Health Policy Forum received a grant from the Foundation to provide congressional and regulatory staff with information and materials that will help craft better policies and programs to meet the health care needs of older adults. Funding will be used to create at least five aging-focused events or reports during each year of the grant, targeting senior, mid-level, and junior staff members. Content for the Forum’s Hartford-supported meetings and written briefs over the next three years will focus largely on Medicare payment and service delivery reforms, along with a series of basic health policy sessions for new congressional staff in 2013 and 2015. The Forum's aging-focused programming will also be supported by grants from The Atlantic Philanthropies and The SCAN Foundation.
