Ensuring Aging Content in Diagnostic Excellence Initiatives: Fellowship in Diagnostic Excellence Program and Diagnostic Excellence Age-Friendly Health Systems (AFHS) Seed Grants Program

Grant Summary

This grant to the Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine (SIDM) will support the early career development of one Age-Friendly Scholar each year for three years who will conduct mentored research in diagnostic excellence for older adults. The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation provides funding for the overall program that will support nine scholars each year. Additionally with Moore Foundation funding, SIDM will continue to administer the DxQI Seed Grant Program to fund quality improvement projects to catalyze innovation in diagnostic excellence, with a carve-out for up to 12 Age-Friendly Health Systems projects in collaboration with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. JAHF will fund up to a total of four Age-Friendly Health Systems DxQI Seed Grants.
