Justice in Aging is hosting a webinar focused on understanding recent Medicare eligibility changes and gaining practical strategies on how to advise older immigrant clients who are losing Medicare and Medicaid coverage.
The Budget Reconciliation Act of 2025 (H.R. 1) significantly changes health care access for older immigrants, including eliminating Medicare eligibility for some lawfully present immigrants who were previously eligible.
This webinar will include an overview of immigrant eligibility for Medicare, the H.R. 1 Medicare and Medicaid eligibility changes that impact older immigrants, implementation timelines, strategies advocates can provide to clients navigating these changes, and resources to stay up to-date on Medicare eligibility changes.
