Grant Summary

The Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS), a coalition of 45 specialty societies with over 800,000 physician members across health care, was awarded funding from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation to promote diagnostic excellence across the field of medicine by providing grant awards to member societies through an external review process. In a prior phase, JAHF contributed funding to support two projects focused on diagnosis in older adults, one in surgery and one in anesthesiology. Contingent on additional Moore Foundation funding of ten new projects, JAHF will support an eleventh project focused on older adults.
