National Collaboratory to Address Elder Mistreatment: Expanding the Impact of the Elder Mistreatment Emergency Department Toolkit
Grant Summary
One in 10 older adults is affected by elder abuse, neglect or other forms of mistreatment. The National Collaboratory to Address Elder Mistreatment will help at least 45 hospitals integrate the toolkit into their regular workflow, promote wider adoption through national partnerships, host policy convenings and develop leaders in the prevention of elder mistreatment.
Collaboratory participants include:
- The University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine/National Center on Elder Abuse
- The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston/Texas Elder Abuse and Mistreatment Institute
- New York’s Weill Cornell Medicine, Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine
