GEDC Webinar: Resource-Limited Settings and the Geriatric ED
The Geriatric Emergency Department Collaborative is hosting a webinar on improving emergency care for older adults in rural and other resource-limited settings.
Emergency departments in rural hospitals and Critical Access Hospitals often face unique barriers related to staffing, specialty access, transfers and community resources. This webinar will highlight practical approaches to improving geriatric emergency care in resource-limited settings, with a focus on adaptable workflows, care coordination, and patient-centered strategies that support safe transitions of care. Participants will hear lessons learned from rural clinicians and explore ways to strengthen care for older adults across diverse emergency care environments.
