GWU Center for Aging, Health and Humanities: 2022 Age-Friendly Ecosystem Summit
The George Washington University's (GWU) Center for Aging, Health and Humanities is hosting the second annual Age-Friendly Ecosystem Summit virtually on November 9.
The 2022 Summit will be structured as 2-hour blocks around four domains. The domains for each session are:
- 9am - 11am: Transportation
- 11am - 1pm: Housing
- 1pm - 3pm: Long-term Care Workforce and Health Systems
- 3pm - 5pm: Emergency Preparedness and Resilience
The genesis of the Summit derives from national work to advance an Age-Friendly Ecosystem; led by The John A. Hartford Foundation, the World Health Organization, AARP, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), Trust for America’s Health, among others. The Age-Friendly Ecosystem Summit is an annual event that brings multisector regional partners together within and outside of the field of aging; creating opportunities for these partners to work together to create livable communities for people of all ages to live, work, and play.
GWU's Center for Aging, Health and Humanities extends an invitation to those in the age-friendly community to share an innovative, successful and replicable Age-Friendly initiative they are working on to be listed in their Regional Age-Friendly Resource Guide. Your submission should include a clear description of the program, including impact and/or outcome measures. Email aging@gwu.edu for more information.
