AAN Policy Dialogue Webinar: Advance Health Equity & Champion Wellness – Advancing Policies to Support Family Caregivers
The American Academy of Nursing (AAN) is holding a webinar November 17, "Advancing Policies to Support Family Caregivers," part of AAN's virtual Policy Dialogue series. Each installment reflects a different AAN policy priority with this second installment of the series reflecting their policy priority of Advancing Health Equity & Championing Wellness.
This policy dialogue will provide participants the opportunity to increase their knowledge on the current and projected state of family caregiving in the United States, including the growing demand that is challenging public and private sector organizations to address policies that support the vital role of caregivers and their well-being. Participants will explore policies at the federal, state, and health systems levels that support family caregivers and will identify opportunities for nursing leadership in this important effort.
Participants of this policy dialogue will be able to:
- Identify and describe federal policies and policy proposals that support family caregivers
- Distinguish the relationships between state and federal policies and health system improvements to accomplish age-friendly, family-centered equitable care
- Describe opportunities for nursing leadership to advance policies that support family caregivers
