AARP Webinar: State Progress - Family Caregivers in Managed Long-Term Services and Supports

Aarp webinar

AARP is holding a webinar on May 14, "State Progress: Family Caregivers in Managed Long-Term Services and Support."

Nearly half of states have transitioned their Medicaid long-term services and supports (MLTSS) delivery systems to managed care. A promising development in MLTSS is the advancement of person- and family-centered care, an approach that recognizes and supports family caregivers beyond simply their basic role in helping the managed-care plan member.

Highlighting key findings and recommendations from a new AARP Public Policy Institute research report on the topic, this webinar will examine the issue from all angles— providing an overview of family caregiving, discussing why MLTSS matters to family caregivers, and reviewing the report’s methodology. That report is based on a study that reviewed contract language related to family caregivers from 31 MLTSS programs in 23 states.
