ACL Report: RAISE Family Caregivers Act - Progress Toward a National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers
The Administration for Community Living (ACL) has released a report, "RAISE Family Caregivers Act: Progress Toward a National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers."
The RAISE Family Caregiving Advisory Council is charged with providing recommendations to the Secretary of Health and Human Services on effective models of both family caregiving and support to family caregivers, as well as improving coordination across federal government programs. The progress report on the Council highlights past meetings, goals, and next steps.
The John A. Hartford Foundation awarded a grant to the National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) to support the efforts of the Council. The grant established NASHP’s RAISE Act Family Caregiver Resource and Dissemination Center as a
national focal point for resources, technical assistance, and policy analysis for states and the
broader stakeholder caregiver community.
