Business Institute Resource Guide: Building a CBO Network for Health Care Contracting, Choosing the Right Model
USAging’s Aging and Disability Business Institute (Business Institute) has released a resource guide, "Building a CBO Network for Health Care Contracting, Choosing the Right Model."
The number of community-based organization (CBO) networks with one or more health care contracts has doubled since 2017. CBOs are forming new types of networks to provide proven, contract-based solutions for payers to solve issues relating to the social determinants of health (SDOH). The publication describes how CBO networks are being formed to provide health care payers with solutions that address SDOH-related needs. These CBO networks are organizing themselves to build common solutions, processes and technologies that facilitate their contracting with health care entities. The guide talks about the contracting approaches and operational models used by CBO networks to deliver services to older adults and people with disabilities.
