Age Wave and The John A. Hartford Foundation (JAHF) hosted a virtual discussion on September 24, "What Older Adults Want: Emerging Breakthroughs and Opportunities for Age-Friendly Care."

The discussion featured results from a new survey fielded by The Harris Poll about older adults' dissatisfaction with the U.S. health care system and what solutions can improve the aging experience in America.

Experts Ken Dychtwald, PhD, a leading authority on aging and longevity, and Terry Fulmer, PhD, RN, FAAN, president of JAHF, shared what older adults say they want, including age-friendly care focused on personal goals and preferences, potential new tech breakthroughs, and much-needed policies that would improve access to high-quality care across the health care continuum, including long-term care facilities.
