AHA Action Community Informational Webinar 3: Becoming an Age-Friendly Health System

The American Hospital Association (AHA) is holding an Action Community informational webinar August 18, "Becoming an Age-Friendly Health System."

This webinar will give a high-level overview of the Age-Friendly Health Systems movement, talk about how to engage in the upcoming AHA-led Action Community and feature Grady Health in Atlanta, Georgia, a prior Action Community team. Grady Health will speak on health equity as a part of their age-friendly work and will share the clinical and financial impact their organization has experienced.

The disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on people age 65 and older calls attention to the need for better care for older adults. With 46 million-plus older adults in the U.S. today, it’s time to customize care. Hospitals and health care systems, ambulatory clinics and long-term care sites can join the AHA Age-Friendly Health Systems Action Community convening this September — at no cost — and learn how to implement the 4Ms Framework. Over 2,000 hospitals and health care practices are now recognized as Age-Friendly Health Systems by implementing the 4Ms Framework. Download the invitation guide and visit AHA's webpage for more information.
