American College of Surgeons Geriatric Surgery Verification Program: New Resources Page
The American College of Surgeons (ACS) has released a new resources page for the Geriatric Surgery Verification (GSV) Program.
The ACS GSV Program has thirty-two surgical standards to improve surgical care and outcomes for older adults. Optimizing surgical care for older adults is critical, as patients sixty-five years and older account for more than 40% of all inpatient operations.
