American Society of Consultant Pharmacists Home Study and Recognition Program: Leveraging Pharmacists as Age-Friendly 4Ms Champions

Home Study Training Series 2

The American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) is offering a home study series of trainings as part of their Age-Friendly Pharmacist Badge Program for long-term care pharmacies and pharmacists. The aim is for pharmacists to be recognized as achieving age-friendly national recognition through a pharmacy-based credential or badge.

This training series offers a comprehensive framework for Senior Care Pharmacists to improve the care of older adults within the Age-Friendly Health Systems (AFHS) initiative.

By providing expertise on the use of medications, pharmacists can gain deeper insights into their opportunities to provide age-friendly care and effectively apply the AFHS 4Ms Framework in their work. Participants will better understand the complex interrelationships between disease states, nutrition, medications and other variables, helping them provide more patient-centered care to older adults.

Upon completion of the training, there is the opportunity to receive an Age-Friendly badge. These trainings are free of charge and participants can receive BCGP/CPE credits.
