The national conversation on end-of-life care has shifted in recent years with Americans now strongly supporting discussions with physicians about this topic, the Kaiser Family Foundation reported in September. In addition, starting in 2016, CMS will allow Medicare to reimburse physicians for having discussions regarding end-of-life care.
