Apply: 2023-2024 AHA Next Generation Leaders Fellowship Age-Friendly Health Systems Cohort Scholarships
The next AHA fellowship application cycle will open in February 2024.
The American Hospital Association (AHA) is accepting applications for The John A. Hartford Foundation Age-Friendly Health Systems Cohort Scholarships as part of its 2023-2024 Next Generation Leaders Fellowship.
The AHA Next Generation Leaders Fellowship focuses on developing leaders and empowering them to bring about real and lasting change in the hospital and health systems in which they serve. The program will help emerging leaders tackle key issues and challenges affecting health care affordability, cost, quality and safety.
The Age-Friendly Health Systems Cohort Scholars work towards providing enhanced care to older adults by reliably implementing a set of four evidenced-based elements of high-quality care, known as the 4Ms Framework, at their organization for their capstone project in the twelve-month fellowship program. The fellows will gain:
- A network with an accomplished group of peers and health care leaders
- Firsthand knowledge through a one-on-one mentoring relationship with an elite health care leader
- The skills to lead behavioral and system-based changes within your organization
- Support to execute a capstone project in their hospital or health system
Applications are due March 31. Nominations are vital to help identify and train the next generation of health care leaders. If you have someone in mind, we invite you to nominate a promising leader to participate in this competitive, yearlong program by submitting a nomination at aha.org/nextgennominations. For any questions about the program, please contact NextGen@aha.org.
