Call for State Participants: CHCS Helping States Support Families Caring for an Aging America Phase II
The Center for Health Care Strategies (CHCS) is seeking applications from interested states to participate in the next phase of its learning collaborative, Helping States Support Families Caring for an Aging America, which focuses on family caregivers of older adults.
CHCS is selecting the next cohort of state participants that are dedicated to prioritizing and advancing family caregiver programs and policies in their communities. States will receive tailored technical assistance and peer learning opportunities to execute a comprehensive plan for family caregiving.
Phase II will include a two-track approach of “early innovator” states that are committed to expanding existing programs and “new adopter” states that are in the earlier stages of policy and program development. To qualify, interested states are required to obtain buy-in from state leaders, establish a cross-sector project team, and choose an area of focus from targeted options. Interested states should apply by December 7, 2020 to begin work in January 2021.
