Apply: NIA IMPACT Collaboratory Accepting Applications for Pilot Awards and for Career Development Awards
The NIA IMPACT Collaboratory is excited to announce two new funding opportunities, the Pilot Grant Awards and the brand new Career Development Awards.
The National Institute on Aging (NIA) Imbedded Pragmatic Alzheimer’s Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease-Related Dementias (AD/ADRD) Clinical Trials (IMPACT) Collaboratory seeks to transform the delivery, quality, and outcomes of care provided to Americans living with dementia and their care partners by accelerating the testing and adoption of evidence-based interventions within healthcare systems through funding from the National Institute on Aging.
The NIA IMPACT Collaboratory currently has open request for applications for two funding opportunities:
- The Pilot Grant Awards will fund up to 5 one-year, non-renewable pilot studies that test non-pharmalogical interventions for people with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD). Letters of intent for the Pilot Awards are due May 29 2020 and full proposals are due September 4 2020.
- The Career Development Awards are designed to support the development of early-stage MD, PhD, or equivalent researchers who seek careers conducting embedded pragmatic clinical trials for people living with ADRD and their care partners. Two to three awards will be given to candidates no more than 5 years out of their post-doctoral training program. Proposals for the Career Development Awards are due July 15 2020.
