Article: Emerging Priorities and Opportunities in Geriatric Emergency Care
Generations, the Journal of the American Society on Aging (ASA) has published an article, “Emerging Priorities and Opportunities in Geriatric Emergency Care.”
Published in the West Health Supplement to the 2019-20 Winter issue of Generations, the article discusses the increasingly key role of emergency departments around the county in treating older adults. The article also lays out the increase in number of geriatric emergency departments around the country, and talks about their cost effectiveness and implementation of best practices to become age-friendly.
