The Rochester Democrat & Chronicle has published an article, "How a Landmark UCLA Dementia Program Could Ease Burdens in Rochester Communities of Color."

The article explains how UCLA’s Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care program works, discusses financing, and talks with those who are in the program at present.

The program "surrounds dementia patients with an individually tailored care plan that builds in medical needs, solutions for caregiver stress and cultural traditions unique to each person and their family...The method is being tested or set in motion in at least six other cities around the U.S., including Rochester in 2020."
