Urban Institute's Urban Wire has published a blog, "More Diversity, More Opportunity? A Q&A with Faith Mitchell."
Faith Mitchell, PhD, former CEO of Grantmakers In Health, talks about her plans to elevate the debate on America’s increasing diversity and creating a fairer, healthier society. Dr. Mitchell has joined the Urban Institute as an Institute fellow, where she’ll work closely with the Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy and the Health Policy Center, and focus on building the American Transformation Project, a new effort to evaluate the impact of racial and ethnic evolution on the nation’s future social and economic development. Mitchell will also focus on strengthening Urban’s work on philanthropic efforts to bring an equity lens to grantmaking that explores the intersections of health policy and other key social issues, such as housing and food security.
