ASA RISE: Applications Open for Cohort 5 Fellows

Moving Forward Coalition Conversations Jan 11 1

The American Society on Aging (ASA) is accepting applications for its fifth cohort of ASA RISE, a 6-month equity-centered leadership program for emerging leaders of color committed to reshaping the future of aging.

Rooted in the values of racial equity, age justice and community empowerment, the ASA RISE program cultivates a new generation of changemakers equipped to lead with courage, cultural insight and a deep commitment to collective well-being.

A new Generations Now blog describes the programs focus on reimagining the path to leadership by not only preparing emerging leaders of color for the aging sector but also preparing the sector itself for these leaders.

ASA Fellows participate in weekly virtual sessions that provide training and mentorship in the aging field on fundamental principles of advocacy, social justice and leadership development. They will also be paired with a mentor for professional support.

Applications are due September 14.
